Labyrinth Workshop

The Labyrinth:  a Sacred Journey of Healing and Spiritual Growth

Learning Objectives: participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the relationship between the seven circuits of the Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth, the seven major charkas, and physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing.

  2. Draw the Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth for personal use

  3. Experience walking a canvas Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth as a moving meditation engaging body, mind and spirit.

Description of the workshop:
The labyrinth symbol has been traced back over 3,500 years and can be found around the world and in many different cultures. Participants will gain a gnowing of the labyrinth as described by Sig Lonegren through drawing a Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth. Gnowing is achieved by honoring information brought to them by the left brain about the design of the labyrinth; and also honoring the information from the intuitive or spiritual world by creating their own personal labyrinth on paper. This exercise along with a meditation will prepare participants for walking the labyrinth by honoring and balancing both the rational and intuitive.
Walking the labyrinth as a moving meditation engaging body, mind, and spirit is useful for working out difficulties or creating opportunities for healing or spiritual growth. Each of the seven labyrinth paths has a relationship to one of our energy centers or charkas that support physical, emotional, mental and spiritual life. These energy centers record and document all that has happened to us: every thought, memory, action, or feeling. They are the blueprint of consciousness from the past that affects our present and future. Walking the labyrinth in relationship to our chakras gives us energetic information for creative solutions. The relational chakra for each path and its key words are: (1) root, physical; (2) sacral, emotional; (3) solar plexus, mental; (4) heart, personal spiritual; (5) throat, expression/manifestation; (6) brow, vision; and (7) crown, God/Goddess. Participants will consider the order they will encounter them in the labyrinth (3-2-1-4-7-6-5-center), questions related to each, and how they can aid in attaining solutions.
After walking the labyrinth, there will be an opportunity for reflection and journaling. Participants can follow this same process anywhere, anytime with the labyrinth that they can draw themselves!

1/2 or full day workshops available at your location. Inside portable canvas labyrinth or on the beach drawn in the sand. Consultations available about building a labyrinth in your area.
1/2 day $75, full day $125 per person
